Ronald A. Freeman, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Board certified plastic surgeon (May 1976)
Dr. Freeman attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, and received his B.S. in pre-med in 1961. He continued his medical training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and earned his M.D. degree in 1965. After attending medical school, Dr. Freeman completed an internship at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, in 1966, and went on to complete a general surgery residency at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1969.
After spending time
in the U.S. Air Force Academy as a general
surgeon from 1969 to 1970 and as a Republic
of Viet Nam commander and advisor team surgeon
from 1970 to 1971, Dr. Freeman pursued a
plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University
from 1971 until 1973. Upon completion of
his plastic surgery residency, he went into
private practice with Plastic Surgery Associates
of Macon, P.C., and has been a plastic surgeon
with the practice since 1973.
